Lovingly maintained and cruise-ready, Pleiades is a 28’6 Catalina 28 in exceptional condition. Surveyed January 2023, she earned high marks for overall cleanliness, structural integrity, and equipment upkeep.
On deck, a well-organized layout makes single-handing easy: Lewmar self-tailing winches, a Pro Furl headsail system, and a Simpson Lawrence 12 V electric windlass with 100′ of chain and 200′ of rode. Standing and running rigging are in excellent shape, and the fully battened mainsail and 110% genoa are ready for many more seasons. Safety gear includes multiple self-inflating and Transport Canada–approved PFDs, current visual distress signals, and dual bilge pumps.
Below, Pleiades offers a bright, spacious interior finished in molded FRP with warm teak accents. The saloon features opposing settees and a centerline table; forward is a comfortable V-berth, while a generous quarter berth aft provides additional sleeping space. The galley boasts a two-burner propane stove with oven, Nova Kool refrigeration, hot-and-cold pressure water, and a 25 L hot-water tank. A Wallas D35 diesel furnace keeps the cabin cozy on cool nights.
Electronics include a new Garmin 545S chartplotter/depth sounder, an updated Raymarine EV-100 autopilot, Autohelm speed and depth instruments, and a Standard Horizon AIS/GPS VHF with remote mic. Shore power, Xantrex charging, and a Victron battery monitor, and a 220w double layer solar panel round out a robust electrical system.
