Full Details

Few vessels of this era present as well as Nordic Wolf. Boathouse kept until 2024, this 1994 Ocean Alexander 520 Pilothouse has been shielded from the elements throughout her life and it shows at every turn. She is genuinely turn-key, requiring nothing of her next owner but a destination.

At the heart of her mechanical credentials are a pair of recently rebuilt Detroit diesels with only 600 hours since overhaul exceptional figures for a vessel of this vintage, and a testament to the care invested in her. Updated Garmin electronics at the flybridge helm bring modern navigational confidence to a classic platform, while a bow thruster makes single-handed docking or tight marina maneuvers entirely manageable.

Below and throughout, Nordic Wolfs rich teak joinery is in outstanding condition warm, well-maintained, and entirely consistent with a vessel that has spent her life out of the weather. The main deck salon offers an open, social layout with the galley positioned at salon level, keeping the cook connected to guests at anchor or at the dock. Comfortable seating, a glass-topped saloon table, and panoramic views through large windows make the space as comfortable at rest as it is underway. The lower helm station provides a protected and fully equipped alternative to the flybridge, with a wraparound settee and direct access to the companionway.

Three staterooms and two full heads provide genuine liveaboard capability, with the master stateroom featuring an island queen berth, generous under-berth storage, and illuminated oval ports. The en-suite head is finished in dark composite panels with parquet teak sole, a separate shower stall, and polished chrome fittings throughout. An Espar forced air heating system ensures the boat is comfortable in all seasons a practical necessity and genuine quality-of-life feature for Pacific Northwest cruising.

The flybridge is outfitted for open-water confidence: Garmin chartplotter, full instrument array, and custom black-and-white striped upholstery that cuts a sharp profile against the white GRP superstructure.

Nordic Wolf represents a rare opportunity to acquire a serious, well-documented cruising vessel that has been managed with genuine care. She is ready to cruise.

Manufacturer Provided Description

Highly skilled artisans at the Alexander Marine boatyard in Kaohsiung, Taiwan handcraft each Ocean Alexander 520 Pilothouse. The pride in their craft is obvious. Wood joints are glued and secured by screws, and parquet teak decks have a clean look (no wood plugs). The counter tops lay flat, and all fiberglass surfaces have a polished gelcoat finish. The 520 Pilothouse is loaded with standard features, including modified semi displacement hulls and planing hulls that deliver superior performance, comfort, and great fuel economy. This hand-laid fiberglass hull is constructed by our expert artisans using only the finest materials available. The unique balsa core technology – used on the hull sides, topside, and superstructure – adds strength, reduces vibration and noise, and is very watertight. Also, anti-fouling black paint is applied to the hull bottom. Other standard features include trim tabs, engine hour meters, hinged fiberglass radar mast, cedar-lined closets, deck lights, swim ladders, platforms, and lighted stairways.
