"Summer Girl' was custom ordered and features a tall rig, Selden in-mast furling, cutter rig, bow thruster, optional 110hp. engine, hydronic heat, new high-end dodger & full cockpit enclosure and much more. Lightly used with only 307 hours, she is a delight to show.

The Marlow-Hunter 50 is a luxurious passage maker with a versatile floor plan for total extended offshore cruising and offers a complete range of live aboard accommodations and outstanding entertainment features. With an overall length of 49 feet 11 inches, plus a 14 feet 9 inch beam and 6 feet 9 inches of salon headroom, the Marlow-Hunter 50 is a BIG boat with impressive interior volume.

Driving the Marlow-Hunter 50’s hull is a specially engineered sail plan that achieves maximum efficiency while maintaining the Hunter trademark of single-handed sail-ability, which is a desirable feature for a boat of this size. Components aboard the Marlow-Hunter 50 include the famous mainsheet traveler arch, back-stayless B & R rig, a furling mast and a self-tacking staysail with overlapping jib. A dual-ended mainsheet allows adjustments from both the cockpit and companionway, and all sheets and halyards end at the cockpit. Power winches make sail handling a breeze.

"Summer Girl" awaits your inspection! (Note: vessel off site, viewing by appointment please)

Layout and General Description

"Summer Girl" features the standard layout with three sleeping cabins and two heads -- a versatile arrangement for cruising with family and friends. The master stateroom forward is as large as they come and offers a shower stall separate from the head. The Guest staterooms are aft, one to starboard and one to port (the larger of the two). They share the aft head with a private shower stall. This not only serves the two aft cabins, but also doubles as a day head. Mattresses have been upgraded to Inner-spring with Memory foam. Also equipped with the  "Supreme shade package" for interior shade. Heating is provided by an Espar M10W hydronic system.

When descending the companionway one is at first struck by the amount of wood surrounding this traditional-looking saloon. The main cabin’s open layout is enhanced with plenty of light from above and from the long side windows in the trunk cabin. Overall the boat has over 11 hatches, all of which open and have screens, except two. That means when at anchor the boat can be opened up and the breeze can come roaring through. A dark cherry interior is standard.

GALLEY:  The Marlow-Hunter 50 has a clever L-shaped galley that includes plenty of counter space with a double-bowl stainless steel sink mounted in Corian counters. A trash bin sits beneath the counter to the right of the sink in what would otherwise be an unusable cabinet corner. Stainless steel grab rails extend the entire length of the galley, both providing a steady handhold and keeping items on the countertops while heeling. Marlow-Hunter includes a microwave and propane gimbaled Gourmet Princess 3 burner stove with oven. A 12-volt DC front-loading refrigerator and 12vdc top-loading freezer. There is an additional Island counter along the companionway with double door top load freezer.  Additional cabinets and lots of drawers provide for deluxe storage. Also, in the sole is another storage compartment for the ship's stores.

Salon:  The salon layout is traditional with a U-shaped dinette to starboard and a settee and navigation table to port. This spot is well-designed and has room for all sorts of electronics gear, plus it has a dedicated stand-along seat instead of a more conventional bench seat. Tons of storage. Flat screen TV upgrade to 45" screen.
